Marine Rock Wool Lamella Mat

ABM® Marine Water-Repellent Rock Wool has a water repellency rate of ≥99%; mass moisture absorption ≤1%; short-term water absorption (partial immersion for 24h) ≤0.5 kg/m²; and long-term water absorption (partial immersion for 28 days) ≤2.0 kg/m². Even if soaked under high-pressure water, it retains its properties after drying without swelling or deformation.

ABM® Marine Rock Wool is composed of numerous interlaced fibers forming a porous, interconnected structure. The vibration and friction between fibers convert sound energy into heat, greatly reducing sound reflection and transmission—creating a quiet, comfortable, and disturbance-free environment.

This product is asbestos-free, and rock wool has been officially removed from the “possible carcinogens” list by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) under WHO. Its water extract is neutral to mildly alkaline, ensuring it does not corrode or damage materials it contacts. Free from CFCs, HCFCs, and HFCs, it is completely safe for the ozone layer.

The open and porous fiber structure gives the rock wool excellent breathability and self-drying capability. Water vapor can freely pass through the material, effectively reducing condensation and mold formation.

ABM® Marine Rock Wool features fine fibers with an average diameter of 5 μm—better than the national standard requirement of ≤7 μm. With a low slag content of about 5%, well below the ≤10% standard, it offers low thermal conductivity and outstanding insulation performance.

Throughout its entire life cycle, ABM® Marine Rock Wool saves over 100 times more energy during use than the total energy consumed in its production, transportation, and recycling stages.
