ABM® marine water-repellent rock wool has a water repellency rate ≥ 99% and a mass moisture content ≤ 1%. Short-term water absorption (partial immersion for 24 h) ≤ 0.5 kg/m²; long-term water absorption (partial immersion for 28 days) ≤ 2.0 kg/m². Even if soaked by high-pressure water, drying does not affect its performance, and the material does not swell or deform.

ABM® marine rock wool consists of densely packed, interconnected fibers. Sound energy is converted into heat through fiber vibration and friction, significantly reducing reflection and transmission of sound waves, providing a quiet and undisturbed environment.

The product contains no asbestos. The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) under the World Health Organization has removed rock wool from the list of possibly carcinogenic substances. Its water extract is neutral or slightly alkaline, causing no damage or corrosion to contacting materials. ABM® marine rock wool contains no CFCs, HCFCs, or HFCs and does not harm the ozone layer, making it environmentally friendly.

The open, porous fiber structure provides excellent air permeability and self-drying capability, allowing water vapor to pass freely through the material, reducing condensation and mold growth.

ABM® marine rock wool fibers are slender, with an average diameter of 5 μm, exceeding the national standard of ≤7 μm. The slag ball content is low, about 5%, well below the national standard of ≤10%. These properties result in low thermal conductivity and excellent insulation performance.

Over its entire lifecycle, the energy saved during the use of ABM® marine rock wool exceeds 100 times the energy consumed in production, transportation, and recycling.

ABM® rock wool is easy to handle and cut, and can be cut with a utility knife, allowing for convenient installation.
