Fireproof Rock Wool for Smoke Ventilation Systems

ABM® fireproof rock wool series for smoke exhaust ducts is specially designed and developed for fire protection in smoke control and exhaust systems. With excellent thermal stability, high-temperature resistance, and anti-shrinkage properties, it ensures the structural stability of the smoke exhaust system even under continuous exposure to high temperatures, providing a safe evacuation channel for trapped occupants.

The smoke control system includes both smoke prevention and smoke exhaust systems, generally composed of air ducts, shafts, fire dampers, door switch devices, and supply/exhaust fans.

In the event of a fire, the smoke prevention system uses high-power pressurization fans to prevent smoke from entering the protected zones, while the smoke exhaust system removes smoke from the building — protecting occupants from dense smoke and buying valuable time for safe evacuation.
